Dear friends,
It is with bittersweetness that I share with you that the end of 2012 will see the end of This Old Thing?
TOT? has been a wonderful, creative, energetic, thriving business for over two years and I've been blessed in this endeavor. The above proverb rings true - for all things there is a time and a season.
Why end now? Simply put, it's the right time.
There are many reasons why I have decided to move on to other creative ventures, including the certainty that the "vintage market" in Lakeland is at the point of overflowing with vendors, while at the same time seeing that the creative Lakeland community is very well-educated in thrifting and a Do-It-Yourself lifestyle. I'm sure I'll see many of you at the markets, estate sales, and thrift shops in our area. (Looking forward to that!)
As a wife, and a mother of three young children, these days I have my hands full -- full of good things! For those who would like to know -- writing, teaching, and traveling are all on my agenda...as are long walks, sleeping-in and snuggling with the kids on Saturday mornings, family gatherings, and other times well spent.
